Limerick is located on many curves and islands off the River Shannon, which runs into an estuary shortly after Limerick.

centre of Limerick, Lies a road
infrastructure which features three main crossing points. One of the
constituent cities of the Cork/Limerick/Galway corridor, has
a population of about one million people.
The River Shannon runs through Limerick, and into the Atlantic Ocean to the North of County Limerick.
Limerick is one of the largest cities in the Republic of Ireland, and the main city in County Limerick.
Limerick is the second busiest city in the province of Munster, an area which consists of the MidWest and SouthWest of the republic of Ireland.
Limerick is situated in the middle of the region called the MidWest. It is also called the Shannon Region. This region includes County Limerick, Northwest County Kerry, County Clare, Tipperary and North County.
The
focal point of this area centres around Limerick, and its surrounding
areas within an 8 km
radius.
This area is probabley the main economic region outside of Cork
and Dublin.The economic success of Limerick has been partly because
of
the University of Limerick, and of course Shannon Airport.
Limerick City is one of Ireland's main city destinations, with only a twenty minute drive from Shannon Airport.
Tourism is growing at a very fast rate, thanks to the opening of five new hotels recently. Limerick is the first city to have Street Ambassadors. These are local people dedicated to help tourists, and make their stay more pleasurable.
